It is showing up on my Disk Utility app as 'Disk Images'. So then I downloaded their Firmware update. That did help (it didn't say I had drive connected). Thinking I need some software update - I went to Lacie site and downloaded their Desktop Manager for OS (2.9.1). I have tried the suggestions to ensure that 'external networks' are showing (it should) but it doesn't. However, now it is not recognizing it anymore. I used a Lacie to store items for a number of years and my Mac recognized it and had no problems for years.
